Thermal breeze in Loctudy!

The RS:One Class, in partnership with the FFV and the Cercle Nautique de Loctudy, is organising its 2016 European Championships from 4th to 9th July in Loctudy, France.

The championship, open to all, allows European racers to compete through innovative race formats like The Pulsar (compact slalom, America's Cup style) and Marathon (long distance). Courses are set up in a way that the on-shore audience can enjoy the races.

RS:One is a multi generational, one-design windsurfing board featuring an easy and light performing 7.8 rig. Espoirs (youth under 22 years old), Seniors (under 40 year old) and Masters (older than 40), men and women, can race together on the same starting line in a collective fleet.

The European Champions will be invited full expenses to the 2016 RS:One World Championships to be held in the World Class city of Penghu (TAIWAN) from the 26th September till 1st October.

The thermal breeze came as expected in the afternoon with another bright and sunny day with 12 knots at the best. Racers had to use the coastal and current to maximise their speed performances for 2 new Regatta races.

Postec Taina (FRA) is confirming her lead in the Women fleet while her team mate Marsaudon Capucine claims back the 3rd place after 5 races.

France confirms its domination in the Men fleet with 2 new bullets for Salette Florian. Good performance from Abiven Maxime taking the 2nd place from Guerin Pierre.

As forecast remains uncertain and light, race committee has scheduled the first possible race for tomorrow at 2 pm.

Stay tuned!
