Hong Kong crowned World Champions!
The RS:One Class, in partnership with the Chinese Taipei Sailing Association and the Windsurfing Club Guan YIn Ting, is hosting the 2016 RS:One World Championships from 26th to 30th September in Penghu, Taiwan.
RS:One is a multi generational, one-design, windsurfing board featuring an easy and light performing 7.8 rig. Espoirs (youth under 22 years old), Seniors (under 40 year old) and Masters (older than 40), men and women, can race together on the same starting line in a collective fleet.
This last day of competition hasn't allowed any races due to inconsistent winds in strength and direction.
Despite the massive Typhoon Mengi, organisers has delivered an outstanding competition securing 8 races in only 2 days.
Hong Kong Team has confirmed its domination with 4 new titles. Hong Kong is also claiming another 2 world titles 4 years in a row with Ho Tsun Leung (Men) and Hei Man Hayley Chan (Women).
The Taipei Sailing Association, the Windsurfing Club Guan Yin Ting, and the RS:One Class are also proud to confirm the 2018 RS:One World Championships will be held in Penghu.
